Glitter Polish Dilemma!

Barry M - Glitter Nail Polishes!

We've all had that time, especially at Christmas time and for parties, that we want nice sparkly nails... However, you can never seem to get enough out and onto the nail without making it thick and gloopy on the nail, making chippy and smudging inevitable.

I found this little number perfect to solve all glittery nail issues! Being a fan of dark nails, I went for the darker glitter but all the glitter nail polishes in the Barry M range are brilliant!
You only have to apply one coat on top of a coloured nail varnish to have the perfect glittered look... Or, to go all disco ball, just apply 2 coats and don't use a colour. This has never once gone gloopy or chipped on me, under 2 weeks, and seems to last forever!
This particular colour is called 'Amethyst Glitter' and is available at most Boots or Superdrug stores (U.K) along with all the other glitter polishes in the range!

Jan 2014 Glossybox.

Glossybox Contents.

Anatomicals - Puffy The Eye Bag Slayer.
These are 'wake-up under eye patches'.
Great for after party hangovers, natural dark circles, like myself, or just after a rough nights sleep! No longer will I look like I've had a boxing match with Mike Tyson!

Yu-Be Moisturising Skin Cream.
Made in Japan, this is a glycerin based cream with vitamins B2, C & E. The best part about this cream is it is for most skin types! Being a Psoriasis, type of eczema skin condition, sufferer myself, I have used this and it actually helps me, even when specialist creams don't! It's also safe to use all over your body, including face, lips and eyes!

Balance Me - Super Toning Body Wash.
This '99% natural origin' body wash smells gorgeous! Infused with the essential oils of Bergamot, Geranium, Juniper and Lavender, this body wash is great for smoothing and toning the skin, yet being 99% natural, it's gentle on the skin.

The Vintage Cosmetic Company - Tweezers.
Not a lot to say about these, as they are only tweezers. Saying this though, they are the most stylish tweezers I've come across! With a nice floral rose pattern, these tweezers also have a slanted edges to help get those little niggly hairs out!

Vaseline - Essential Moisture.
This is something I've used even before the Glossybox. Unlike some moisturisers, this is great moisturiser for leave skin 'baby bum' soft with out the heavy oily feel. With it's pure oat extracts and stratys, this gives you a multiple layers of moisturiser, again, unlike some moisturisers that just sit on top of the skin.

Well this is all for the Jan' 2014 Glossybox, I personally have a great use for all these products :) Watch this space to see what comes in the Feb' 2014 Glossybox!

Fake Tan!

Fake Tan Conundrums!

I don't tend to use a lot of fake tan, just mainly for special occasions. I.E, birthdays, parties, Christmas and New Years. However, when I do use it I tend to find 2 major faults that go terribly wrong.
1. STREAKS!
I always seem to come out looking like the wrong side of an Andy Warhol painting.
2. TANGO'D!
Many of times have I been asked "where's Charlie and/or Willy Wonka?" or the infamous "Did you get lost on your way back to Loompaland?".

I was on the verge of giving up, I had tried sprays, creams, tinted moisturisers, EVERYTHING!
Then.... I stumbled across this!
Image taken from Google Images.
This is literally a case of 'it does what it says on the tin!'
Not once after using this have I had streaks or gone the darker shade of an Oompa Lumpa.
It's soft, subtle and fast drying!
It doesn't look bad if you haven't exfoliated either!
Done properly, exfoliation and moisturiser, the works, this comes out looking like a real tan! It's the best I've come across and I have always had comments on how natural it looks! After I've told them it's fake tan!
So, it's a good case of FAKE, DON'T BAKE!

First Time Blogger!

Hi guys!

Just wanted to introduce myself as I'm new to all this.

My names Lauren and I'm 19 yrs old and work in a call centre.

As you can imagine working in a call centre is not all that exciting so I take a lot of joy out on doing hair and beauty.

By no means am I an expert or claim to be, I just have a love of all hair and beauty products and have since being little.

This is just a blog to share my little hair and beauty bits & bobs, that you guys may find useful or just an interesting read.

I have also recently just signed up for the Glossybox's so I will do at least 1 monthly blog about it's contents.

There will be numerous blogging reports from me, but will be mainly hair & beauty.
Sooo, that enough from me, please enjoy!
